Smile

Micah is smiling these days. Yeah! This is something we have been waiting for!!

At first I thought his smile would be just the edges of his mouth turned up. He usually is frowning or in a neutral state - because even his mouth has low tone. We've been exercising his mouth, chin and lips to help him with sucking, feeding and smiling.

And now it has happened. Wow! All of the sudden one day there was this big huge, full mouth smile. I'm surprised by how his smile changes his demeanor. You can see his emotion and that he actually is feeling something. It's so great!

This beautiful huge open mouth grin melts my heart every time. And then when he coos with it. I'm done for. He will often smile when he looks at our faces or when we are playing/exercising with him. Which makes us want to play with him all the more.
