It's been a tough week. Micah's big brother Kyle is having a hard time with the transition to "home life" and being a big brother. Being stuck at inside in a very small space because of the weather, not being at daycare part of the week, and his little brother taking all of mom's time (it takes Micah 40 minutes to feed and then mom has to "pump" for the next feeding) makes for one unhappy boy.
All of this is too much for the little guy. Gary and I have realized that our once happy boy - who is known for his contagious smile, is not the same these days. It breaks our hearts!
I know it doesn't help that every other word out of my mouth these days is "no". Life has changed and the boundaries are different. He just doesn't understand - nor should he. He so wants to help out around the house and "love on" his new brother. However, the ways he goes about this is not often the most helpful. The joys of a two year old!!
I know I won't have these weeks & months back again - so I should be cherishing them. However, now that there are two of them - I don't have time to pour into the baby books, milestone calendars, videos & photos. I know they will survive - but will I? Momma needs a nap - so I'll go take one!
