When I first heard "no travel" from our doctor I was really bummed. In the past we've often traveled to be with extended family for the holidays. However, this year we were advised that we should stay home and avoid all air travel until the flu season is over. I was not excited about this at first.
However, we have had a number of wonderful days with family. With the snow storm many of our plans changed and thus allowed us the freedom to simply relax and enjoy. Attending worship together as a family, getting together with Grandpa and Grandma on Christmas Day, telling Kyle the Christmas story, playing in the snow and seeing the 'wonder' of all through the eyes of a child.
It's been a time for the four of us to relax, be together and enjoy this wonderful celebration of Christ's birth!
