SAHM

I'm officially a Stay At Home Mom these days (well sort of...I work one day a week and sometimes an occasional Sunday). It's a new reality for me - one that I have not fully embraced. At first I was very against the idea of staying at home with the boys. Knowing I would go insane (and I was for the most part right). However, I felt there was no other option, especially when the Doctor said that Micah couldn't be in daycare.

Somehow we have managed to make it work. Grandparents and friends have helped us out. And each day we have an "group or class" where Kyle can play and I can interact with other adults. It works out quite well. However, it's not without its challenges. I always thought that staying at home would be easier and less crazy than juggling work and kids. I was WRONG!

Take today for instance, I locked the keys in the car with Micah in it! I had to call AAA to get the door open. But of course the info was in the car. Aaugh!! Then Gary and I met in the late afternoon to "swap kids" so I could go to the girl doctor. However, we miscommunicated about the meeting place. Oops!! All in all it wasn't the biggest deal in the world - but it sure makes for a couple of crazy and stressful situations.

Life seemed much easier when I worked a full day! I'll have to find a couple of full day preschools for the boys in order to maintain my sanity. Can I make it 3 years before being committed? ;)
