Summer Friendships

This summer we have been spending a lot of time with family. Kyle and Micah have built strong friendships with their cousins Emily and Taylor.

Emily is 4, perfect for Kyle to play with a "big sister" type. Kyle has chased Emily around the house for hours saying her name. At first it was "E" and then turned into "Emmmy". They have played together with: trains, puzzles, coloring, playing duets on the piano, played in the water and played in the sand, jumped on the bed, went bowling, went to the zoo and to children's museum. They have been great friends and shared LOTS of memories. One of the last days they were together Kyle got so excited to see Emily that he accidentally broke one of her crafts. He got huge tears in his eyes and sobbed because he tried so hard to be a good friend. It was precious. It is obvious that he loves her so much!

Taylor is 2 months old and a great playmate for Micah. Micah likes to suck Taylor's fingers and give her kisses. He gets up on all fours and hovers over her in anticipation of giving her a big open mouth kiss. It's classic. One of these days they will knock heads. I don't know if these two will ever remember all the feedings, diaper and clothes changes they have shared. Hopefully they will know they had strong connections from the beginning. Right now Micah is teaching Taylor a few things, down the road Taylor most likely will be helping Micah out with things. Nevertheless, these two cousins are a great pair.
It will be so fun to see how all of them grow up to be fast friends!
