This fall our family has experienced it's yearly quota of surgeries and procedures. Micah had tubes placed this summer and then in early fall he had an ABR test to assess his hearing. The good news is he passed (with flying colors) the hearing test. YEAH!!
Then in early October Kyle (big brother) had tubes re-placed and his adenoids taken out. This surgery one the toughest one we have experienced so far with the kids. Being 2.5 years old he was very aware of his surroundings. Even though we tried to make it a "fun adventure" he was scared of the entire situation. He's done so well in the past with pain, we thought he would sail through this one too. We were surprised when 2 days later we were on the verge of bringing him back to the Hospital for an IV. God answered our prayers and Kyle began to drink and his fever broke, so there were no more Hospital visits.
The last of this batch of surgeries and procedures will be in a few days. Micah has surgery on his genitals. This is supposed to be a quick and easy procedure. We're praying this will happen, knowing that he could be in a bunch of pain for a few days.
Needless to say mom and dad have recieved VERY little sleep these past months. The good news is there are no more surgeries or procedures on the calendar. We are praying that it stays that way.
