Milestones

Early this fall, Micah saw the OT therapist that first came to our house weeks after he was born. This therapist was a godsend to our lives and has been integral in helping Micah reach his developmental milestones.
It had been 3+ months since the last time this therapist had seen Micah. I was looking forward to getting a 'fresh perspective' on his development. The therapist said, "I couldn't be more pleased at his progress. We couldn't have hoped for more. He has a great foundation to build upon."
These were great words to hear!  This proves that all the work we have done these past months have paid off. Micah these days is walking on uneven surfaces, crawling up/down stairs, stepping up and down on stairs, squatting to play, responding to communication, longer attention span for playing with toys and communicating using non-verbal signs. Many of which are at the typical age of developement.
Note: this summer we stepped up therapies for Micah, doing private therapies on the average of 2-3 times per week. It was a crazy schedule, but it really paid off. A big thanks to big brother Kyle who tagged along for the therapies at the "playroom".
