I've been checking into many resources that may be able to help us out in the future as we "help" Micah develop. Things like Specialists, Early Intervention, ECSE, County Resources and support groups. All have been very helpful and will be great places of support over the next few months and beyond.
We also are checking into some financial assistance to help with medical bills down the road. At this point it looks like we won't be able to qualify for Medical Assistance or SSI (Supplemental Security Income) because of our miniscule retirement and 401K plans. Obviously there are other people out there who need help more than we do - however, the uncertianty of what those medical bills will/could be is a bit scary at this point.
